Zambia Authority Revenue (ZRA) will introduce the Smart Invoice electronic billing system effective July 1, 2024, in a significant move towards modernizing tax compliance and improving revenue collection, replacing the existing Electronic Fiscal Devices (EFDs) and expanding to cover multiple taxes and levies. This new system aims to modernize tax compliance and improve revenue collection by enabling real-time data transmission to the ZRA.
