As part of the security enhancements introduced in Sage 300 v2023 PU2 and onwards, it is imperative to reconfigure the database, particularly for users of the previous version. This involves configuration the Vault and Store databases. The screenshot below displays the corresponding pop-up prompt that users may have encountered during this process.

After clicking on ‘Start Database Setup’ in response to the pop-up, when entering the password, you may encounter the following error message

One of the reason that can lead to these errors might be the SQL server service is not running, to resolve the error in the above case, please follow the steps below:

1.Click on ‘Windows’ key and search for the Services and right click on the SQL server on which Sage 300 is configure.

2.Now click on Start.

3.Now you can able to start the Sage 300 and login the same.
