we discussed how case reference number gets generated for every case that is created in the CRM. In the earlier post we discussed how we can change the format of the case reference number. But it is still a combination of current user login id and the custom part, something like this: 1-10092 or 28-10092
You can also remove prefix (i.e. user id) which is included in case reference number. In order to achive this you have to modify the SQL stored procedure called eware_default_values. This will ensure that you get a case reference number in the format that you or your organisation needs and not what SageCRM gives you.
