Troubleshooting an error message of GUMU™ Integration – ‘File does not exist’

GUMU™ for Sage CRM – Sage ERP’s (i.e. 100/EM/500/300/Pro) integration is a real-time bi-directional link where we synchronize all the customer data from Sage ERP’s to Sage CRM and vice versa.  Today in this blog, we will discuss about troubleshooting tips for resolving an error message related to ‘File does not exist’ which occurs on the click of any GUMU tabs and screens from Sage CRM side.

New Stuff: GUMU™ for Sage CRM-Sage100 Integration – Sales Details Customization

Generally this message occurs on Sage CRM server only when-

  • If user restore their current Sage CRM database (say CRM74) with previous database (say CRM73 which was already GUMU™ Integrated) or vice versa.
  • If Sage CRM path has been changed.

In order to resolve ‘File does not exist’ error message of any GUMU™ Integration product as shown in below screenshot, user will have to follow the below steps.

  1. Check whether the Sage CRM path is pointing to correct Sage CRM installation directory or not. User can check by executing the below SQL query,
    select * from Custom_SysParams
    where Parm_Value like ‘%CustomDotNet%’
  2. If the Sage CRM path is pointing to wrong Sage CRM installation directory then user will have to execute the below update query in order to update it with Sage CRM installation directory path (i.e. where GUMU Integration dll got installed at the time of GUMU™ Installation).
    update Custom_SysParams
    set Parm_Value=‘C:\Program Files (x86)\Sage\CRM\CustomDotNet\’
    where Parm_Value like ‘%CustomDotNet%’
  3. Once the above SQL query is get executed then user will have run refresh Metadata in Sage CRM. Refer below screenshot.
  4. If the Sage CRM path is correct and user is still getting same error message ‘File does not exist’ then user will have to just execute refresh Metadata in Sage CRM.

Using above steps error message ‘File does not exist’ will get resolve and user can access all GUMU tabs ans screens.
