Apache Tomcat being the most important part of Sage CRM, has many of the CRM features reliable on it. Though this service gets installed automatically at the time of CRM installation, many a times Tomcat service fails thereby making the Users face Dashboards, Export to Excel, Reports, Mail merge etc. and many such issues. We have discussed many tomcat related issues on this blog site; in this blog I will share one more solution to tackle Tomcat’s ‘Windows could not start the Apache Tomcat CRM Tomcat7 service’ error.
New Stuff: Enabling GUMU™ Integration access for each Sage CRM user
Recently to handle Apache Tomcat’s service issue we decided to reinstall Tomcat service post CRM installation. To do the same follow the below steps –
- Open the Command Prompt with Administrator rights and navigate to the directory below mention path.
“<installationpath>”\”<instancename>” \tomcat\bin - Run the below mention command to uninstall the tomcat service:
service uninstall <TomcatServicename> - Then run the below mention command to reinstall the tomcat service:
service install <TomcatServicename>
- Start the Tomcat service from the Services.msc window.
