New features – Displaying YTD and LYTD sales data using GUMU integration

Today, in this blog we will discuss about new feature which we had received for one of our client and we then incorporated the same in our GUMU product.

New Stuff: New Feature in GUMU for Sage CRM – Sage 100 Integration – Find Inventory

Few days ago, we came across with a new requirement from client where client wanted to sync information for fields like YTD (Year to Date), LYTD (Last Year to Date) and Last Invoice Date of particular Sage 100 customer in Sage CRM on company summary Screen. So considering it as a new feature we have incorporated same solution in our standard product.

When we initially install GUMU, this feature is disabled by default. User can enable this functionality by following below steps,

  1. Login into Sage CRM.     
  2. Go to Administration-> Customization->Translation
  3. Search for caption Code as ‘YTD Setting
  4. Select that Translation and change the US and UK translation from ‘N’ to ‘Y’
  5. Run the Refresh Metadata.

Once user done with above steps, you can see Import Custom fields option under Sage 100 Administration menu where we have provided 2 checkboxes Sales YTD and Last Invoice Date for which user wants to sync the data in Sage CRM. User can select any checkbox and can select any one of the criteria either Date or Customer Number range to import custom fields for customers into Sage CRM.

Currency

  • If user checks Sales YTD checkbox, then it will import YTD and LYTD data into Sage CRM
  • If user checks Sales Last Invoice Date checkbox, then it will import Last Invoice Date into Sage CRM
  • If user checks both Sales YTD and Last Invoice Date checkboxes, then it will import both YTD & LYTD data and Last Invoice Date into Sage CRM.

You can view YTD, LYTD and Last Invoice Date of any particular customer under Company Summary screen. Refer below screenshot,

Currency

Note: Import Custom fields process will only import YTD, LYTD and Last Invoice Date data not customers. Custom fields data will get imported only for existing customer records. This import process can be automated using windows scheduler.
