EXPLORING THE FUNCTIONALITY OF SAGE 100 LOT AND SERIAL TRACKING IN SAGE CRM USING THE GUMU™ CUSTOMIZATION.

The GUMU™ Sage 100 CRM integration is a fully bi-directional solution where users can have access to Sage 100 data wherever they log into Sage CRM. Connecting Sage 100 with Sage CRM allows customer-facing staff to view accounting data and create orders through the Sage CRM interface. 

Today in this blog we will discuss a customization analysis we had done in the past, wherein the Sage CRM user will have the ability to manage the distribution of Lot/Serialized Items in Sage CRM itself while creating Quotes/Orders in Sage CRM.

The standard versions of GUMU™ currently do not include support for Lot/Serialized Item functionality in Sage CRM. However, it is possible to add this feature to GUMU™ through customization. Lot and Serial tracking are intricate features that require users to manage the distribution by assigning specific Lot and Serial numbers. To fully comprehend the functionality that can be achieved through customization, let’s take a brief overview of the Lot and Serial functionality in Sage 100.

The lot and Serial Distribution functionality in Sage 100 empower businesses to efficiently manage the distribution of inventory items with lot or serial numbers. By accurately assigning lot and serial numbers, businesses can maintain traceability, optimize warehouse management, and precisely fulfill customer orders.

Now let’s have a look at the functionality that can be added to GUMU™ as customization for the distribution of Lot/Serial Items in Sage CRM itself.

Firstly, the Lot and Serial Product will have to be imported in Sage CRM from Sage 100 using the GUMU™ Import Products Utility.

Users can enable or disable lot/serial customization through the ‘Enable Lot/Serial’ checkbox present on the Configuration screen.

If the User adds any lot/serial item in Sage CRM Quote/Order using New Line Item Screen then a Enter Lot/Serial button will get displayed.

Using the Enter Lot/Serial button user can add a lot and serial numbers and save the record.

Validations will be displayed as per standard Sage 100 functionality

The Lot/Serial item and its corresponding lot/serial numbers will be promoted to Sage 100 during the Promote Order process.
