When working with standard entity records like Company, Lead, or Opportunity, users often had to switch between their respective tabs to access the necessary information. Sage CRM provides hyperlinks so that users can use in a convenient way to access the actual records. However, the issue arises as these hyperlinks open in the current window, requiring a significant number of clicks to go back and forth between records.
With Sage CRM 2023R2, you can now eliminate the need for switching by opening entity tabs in separate browser windows. This feature allows you to arrange these browser windows on your monitor, enabling you to have all the records visible simultaneously.

To verify, if you can open a read-only browser tab from an entity tab, hover your cursor over the entity icon located under the tabs. If the tooltip “ReadOnlyHint” appears, click the icon to open a read-only browser tab.
For example, on the Summary tab of a Company record, click on Company icon. Refer below screenshot.
If we clicked on Company icon then another browser tab will open with read-only content. Refer below screenshot.
In the screenshot above, you’ll notice that the Company’s information is displayed in read-only content, but there are still hyperlinks available. For example, you can see hyperlinks for the Website, Phone/Email, and the First Name/Last Name of the person. Please refer below screenshot.
If user clicks on one of the hyperlinks, the displayed information is also in a read-only format, means user can’t edit that record. For an example, if user clicks on a person’s first name, the person’s data will be displayed in a read-only format within that window. Refer below screenshot.

Note: This feature has reduced the number of clicks required to switch from record to record. To edit the information displayed in a read-only browser tab, users will need to go to actual records as hyperlinks navigation doesn’t allow record to be edited.
