Troubleshoot error – ‘Unable to Import Customer. Either BOF or EOF is True’

GUMU™ for Sage CRM – Sage 100 integration is a real-time bi-directional link where we synchronize all the customer data from Sage ERP’s to Sage CRM and vice versa.Thus users can have a 360 degree view of customer data within both the systems.

Today in this blog, we will discuss about troubleshooting tips for resolving an error message “Unable to Import Customer. Either BOF or EOF is True, or the current record has been deleted. Requested operation requires a current record” as shown below which occur on Import Customer routine.

The above issue is related to data specific and normally occurs due to below process

1. If user create a customer/Import Customer using 3rd Party Addon or VI job in Sage 100 under Customer Maintenance screen by entering improper data and then tries to Import Customer in CRM using Import Customer Routine then it will show the error message as “Unable to Import Customer. Either BOF or EOF is True, or the current record has been deleted

2. You can observe the failed customers list in the GUMU logs by navigating to below mentioned path C:\Windows\SysWOW64\inetsrv\GUMU\GUMUImport.log

3. After knowing the failed customer’s customer number check the data against them in Sage 100 if it proper or not.

4. For Example, as shown in below screenshot the salesperson code against the customer was incorrect due to which an error message occur in Sage CRM.

5. Once the data gets properly updated in Sage 100 against the failed customers then again try to Import customers in Sage CRM and check if issue resolve.
