In Sage Intacct if you look at any transaction entry screen such as Sales Order, AR Invoice, AP Bills not all the fields are visible in the line item table. Say you frequently require Projects to be entered while entering AP Bills but it is not visible on line item table and to use it you need to expand the details tab which can be time consuming.
Sage Intacct provides option to customize line item tab as per your viewing needs for speeding up data entry. You being an administrator can customize the file placement on the line item table by moving the field from detail tab to line item table or vice versa.
Let’s take an example of AP Bill entry screen.
Here I frequently used Project filed but it is not available on line item table.
To change the layout of this screen click More Actions > Edit Entries Layout.
From the details tab; I will drag the Project field and place before Department. And click Save Layout.
Now as can be seen here the Project field is available on line item table and I don’t have to use the detail tab.
Please note; in order to edit the layout of any screen you must be an administrator. Any changes made to the line item layout of the screen will affect all users of that particular screen.
