Sage Intacct provides two audit trail options i.e. the Audit Trail and the Advanced Audit Trail.
Audit Trail track changes made to records and transactions stored in Intacct whereas Advanced Audit Trail tracks access to personal record of contact, customer, and vendor.
In this blog, we will be discussing about both of these options i.e. Audit Trail and Advanced Audit Trail.
Audit Trail
The Audit Trail tracks all changes made to records and transactions in Sage Intacct instance, including who made the changes and when. When a user creates or deletes a record, modifies a record, Audit Trail tracks the action and stores it in the record’s Audit Trail.
You can view the audit trail by Opening the record in View or Edit mode. Open the More Actions menu and click View audit trail. The audit trail window opens
Advanced Audit Trail
Advanced Audit Trail tracks access to personal data stored in contact, customer, or vendor records. It reports the user access on contact, customer, or vendor record in Sage Intacct. Some examples of personal data access include:
- Names
- Fax
- Dates (Ex. Date of Birth)
- URL’s
- Email Address
- Addresses
- IP Addresses
These logged access entries are stored inn background and we can generate the Advanced Audit History report, which shows access of personal data stored in customer, vendor, and contact records in your company.
Advanced Audit Trail is not the standard feature we will require to subscribe it to get the benefits of it.
