In our previous blog, we discussed the Purchase Journal Report, which is part of our Expanded Withholding Tax. In today’s blog, we will provide a detailed discussion on the General Ledger Report in Sage Intacct ERP.

A General Ledger is an essential accounting tool that systematically records financial transactions in chronological order. It follows the double-entry accounting system, ensuring accuracy and balance by affecting at least two accounts, such as one debited and one credited.

Each journal entry includes the date, account names, debit and credit amounts, reference number, and description, providing clear documentation and easy tracking. Businesses use the general ledger to evaluate financial health, identify discrepancies, and generate key financial statements like the balance sheet and income statement.

Clicking the “Export” button enables users to download the report as an Excel file, including all data for the selected time period, account number, and reporting book.
