Have you come across the below error while upgrading MAS 500 database from version 7.00 to version 7.2?
‘An error occurred reading Sage MAS 500 license information from the Registration Message. Please contact your Authorized Sage Partner or MAS 500 Support to resolve. ’
This error may occur even though you have entered valid registration (license) keys.
Follow the below steps to upgrade from v7.00 to v7.20 provided by Sage:
- Backup the MAS 500 version 7.00 database.
- Restore the backup in a MAS 500 version 7.20 system.
- Place the licreg.dll in Windowssystem32 folder. If you do not have the licreg.dll then you can request Sage for the same.
- Register the licreg.dll file using Windows–>Run–>regsvr32 C:WINDOWSsystem32licreg.dll.
- Now we need to register the database we just backed-up on the 7.20 system. Update the ‘tsmSiteProfile’ table with the MAS 500 license keys and ‘tsmRgstrService’ table with the registration URL. Next execute the standard MAS 500 stored procedure ‘spsmRequestRegMsgFromERWS’ with appropriate parameters against the backed-up database.
- Now run the Database upgrade utility from Sage Software–>Sage MAS 500–> Utilities–> Database Upgrade Utility.
- Install the MAS 500 monthly updates (if needed).
