In the Project Accounting module of the MAS 500 system, the user can create a Master Project and against that Master Project create a Sub Project. After the Project, the user can enter Project estimates. But to add other activities like Timesheet, Invoices, and Project Transactions (Debit/Credit) user has to post the estimate entries for the ‘Fixed Price’ and ‘Fixed Price + ‘project types.
What about if the user wants to create a sub-project for a Master Project and its estimate on just a single button click? We at Greytrix, have a component where the user has to just create a Master Project and hits a single button and the program will create a Sub-Project and Estimate for that Master Project with default values. Please refer to the below screenshot.
On clicking the ‘Create Sub Job & Estimate’ button, the routine will first perform the required validation of the Master Project and display the new screen in which the user has to select the ‘Project Type” and click on the ‘Proceed’ button.
In processing, sub-Project ID will be created with Master Project ID + incremental value (-01) (i.e. 00000065-01). For estimate transactions rest of the values are defaulted from Master projects like Customer, Customer Contact, Project class, etc.
