In this blog post, we’re excited to introduce a new feature – the Quick Line Entry (QLE) screen on the quote and order screens. This feature simplifies the process of adding multiple line items to an order or quote in a single, user-friendly interface.
Let’s explore the functionalities of the QLE screen:
- Users can effortlessly find and view items by filtering them based on product families.
- Depending on the selected shipment site at the Order Header level, the relevant products are displayed in the grid.
- If a user attempts to add an item that isn’t available at the selected shipment site, an alert message promptly notifies them.
- Users have the flexibility to:
- Edit the quantity or quoted price of added items and save the changes with the Update button.
- Remove items with the convenience of the Delete button.
- Adjust the sequence of line items using the Up (↑) and Down (↓) arrows.
Initially, item pricing is retrieved from the Sage CRM database. However, once users have added all their line items, they can click the Save & Close button. This action updates the order line item grid in real-time from Sage X3, saving the pricing data in the selected currency.
With this new functionality, users can effortlessly add multiple line items in a swift and efficient manner.
