Date gets complicated when we define the year in 2 digits, you will not know to which century it belongs.
For example, if we declare the date as [01/01/25], Now this date may belong to any century i.e 19th or 20th century depending on the pivot year which is set. This pivot year information is stored in “adxdcs” variable in sage x3. By applying the exact year to this variable we can define the century to be taken while defining the date.
New stuff: Workflow in Sage X3
adxdcs: this is a pivot year used to determine the century.
For example :
adxdcs= 1941
The pivot year is used to define the century when a year is two digits.
Notes:
If the pivot year is ‘xxNN’ (‘xx’ betwen 16 and 99 and ‘NN’ between 00 and 99) the following occurs:
- Any year shown with two digits, ‘yy’ where ‘yy’ ≤ ‘NN’, will be considered in the century ‘xx’.
- Any year shown with two digits, ‘yy’ where ‘yy’ > ‘NN’, will be considered in the century ‘xx+1’.
Hope this Helps!
