However, their existing system involved a third-party screen requiring them to load data manually. This process got tedious and time-consuming. They sought to eliminate manual supervision, automate reading, and improve accuracy.

- It connects Sage X3 with a weighing scale and updates the gross weight in real-time on transactions
- This skips manual weight tracking and then later updates into Sage X3
- We can also add a function to add weight from the weighing scale in any transaction of X3, such as Stock receipt, miscellaneous receipt, sales delivery, etc.
- This helped eliminate manual intervention improving the accuracy, speed, and chances of errors.
Here is the business flow to fetch weight into X3
- The user logs into X3, opens the Purchase receipt screen, and selects the receipt line.
- Once the line is selected, the user will click on our custom button, ‘Add weight.’
- Our routine will connect to the weight scale directly through port, read the weight, and update it in the field.
- Users can verify that the weight captured is correct or press scan to weigh again.
Other Salient Features:
- Multiple Scale: Our integration can connect to various weigh scales and then fetch the value that returns from the weigh scale and the weighing UoM.
- Small Weigh Scale: The weight of the Pallet/Lot will return a particular weight range used in small-scale industry or micro-level weighing. This applies to small-scale industries.
- Large Weigh Scale: Weight of the tank/container or whole truck carrying the container. In the case of trucks, weight will be calculated twice, once before loading and then next after loading. This applies to large-scale industries like Chemical, Petroleum industries or metal factories.
