ERROR : “NON-EXISTENT PRODUCT FOR THE RECEPTION SITE”

NOTE : The error only occurs when the product has not been associated or included with the specified site during the creation of the sales order.

Follow these steps to resolve the error:

Step 1 : Enter the required data to create sales order.

Sales order :

          In Sage X3, a sales order is a crucial document that represents a commitment from a customer to purchase products or services from a company. The sales order captures details of the items or services requested by the customer, including quantities, prices, delivery dates, shipping information, and other relevant terms.

Access the sales order using the following path:

  • All -> Sales -> Orders -> Orders
  • Open the sales order screen and input the data as shown in figure 1.1.
  1. Sales site : AO011
  2. Sold-to : AO021
  3. Shipment site : AO011
  4. Product : BMS015

Step 2 : The error will only occur if the reception site is not linekd to the product you’ve entered, as shown in figure 1.2.

Upon entering the product and site, an error message will be generated.

This is where you can locate the Reception site: AO021 and the Product: BMS015.

Reception site :

          In Sage X3, the term “reception” typically refers to the process of receiving goods or items into inventory. This process involves registering the arrival of goods, verifying the quantities, and updating the inventory records accordingly.

To resolve the error, you need to linked the product with the reception or stock site through the product site screen.

Step 4 : Follow the below step to link the entered product with the reception site.

Access the product site by following this path.

  • All -> Common data -> Products -> products-sites

Generate a new product site and enter the data as indicated below:

  1. Product : BMS015
  2. Stock site : AO021

NOTE : Provide the required data, except the product and stock site details, only if it is needed.

In the stock site field enter the site and the product field enter the specific product that are reflected in the error box during the creation of the sales order.

Generate a new product site using the product and site details that were associated with the error, as shown in figure 1.3.

Step 5 : Once you’ve linked the product with the reception site, verify to see if the error has been resolved.

The error message indicates ‘NON-EXISTENT PRODUCT FOR THE RECEPTION SITE’. To address this, you’ll need to either create a new product site or establish a link between the product and either the stock or reception site.
