In this blog, we will discuss how a user can Promote Salesforce Contact to Sage Intacct Customer Contact record in Sage Intacct system using GUMU™ Lightning Interface. In the Sage Intacct system, each account has one or more than one Contact, whereas Salesforce supports multiple contacts. In this blog, we will discuss how to promote Contacts from Salesforce to Sage Intacct ERP.
Steps to Update or Promote Salesforce Contact to Sage Intacct Customer Contact
- Log in to your Salesforce Org.
- Go to the app launcher and find the “GUMU™ Integration” App. Click on “GUMU™ Integration.”
- Click on the Accounts tab. A list of all Accounts in the Salesforce Organization is displayed. Promote any Account into Sage Intacct ERP.
- Open the promoted Account is selected for which you want to promote contact, on the “Accounts” related layout click on the button “New” in the Contact section/list.
- In the Contact detail screen enter the necessary information. The Salesforce Contact to Sage Intacct Customer Contact can be promoted in four different forms namely as Primary Contact, Bill To Contact, Ship To Contact and Display Contact.
- After entering the necessary information, the user can select the type of contact as per their requirement by clicking on a checkbox named as follows:
- Is Primary Contact: For Promoting contact as the primary contact. The Primary Contact refers to the main point of contact for a particular entity or account.
- Is Display: The Display Contact serves as the representative contact for public-facing information or display purposes.
- Bill To: For Promoting contact as Bill-to contact. The Bill To Contact is the designated recipient of invoices or billing statements for a specific account or transaction.
- Ship To: For Promoting contact as Bill-to contact. The Ship To Contact is responsible for managing the logistics and delivery aspects of a transaction or order.
- Once you have entered the contact details, simply click on the ‘Save’ button. This action will automatically promote the contact to the Sage Intacct ERP system based on the chosen contact type.
- By doing this, the contact’s information will be transferred smoothly to the Sage Intacct ERP. It ensures that the contact is appropriately categorized according to its specific role, such as Primary Contact, Bill To Contact, Ship To Contact, or Display Contact.
To successfully promote the Salesforce Contact to Sage Intacct Customer Contact, you must select one specific type from the available options. It is mandatory to choose one type for promotion; otherwise, the promotion process will not proceed.
