In this blog post, we will be focusing on how to import Product Options in Salesforce from Sage 300C ERP. Relationships play a crucial role in preserving data integrity by linking associated records and facilitating streamlined data access and retrieval.

Note: Entity Setting, Entity mapping / Import, should be created for Product, Features, and Product Options objects.

To create a relationship between Product Objects and Product Options Object follow the below steps

  • Navigate to the Product Options Import Routine and click on the Relationships tab and import Product Options in Salesforce from Sage 300.
  • In the relationship, add mappings based on the Primary key of the Feature and Product Options Entity Settings. (Begin by adding mappings for the Product object, followed by the mappings for the Features object.)
  • Provide data in the Target Field, Source Field, and Parent Object and using this we can import Product Options in Salesforce from Sage 300.
  • After entering the data in the Relationship, click the Save button.
  • Once the Import Routine is successfully saved, click the Sync Now button for Product, then Features, and finally Product Options.

  • Once the data is successfully imported into Salesforce, we can view it in the Product object.
  • The data in the Product and Feature objects are interconnected. Hence, when users access the related tab section in the Product object, they can view the associated Feature object data.

  • The Product, Feature, and Product Option object data are interlinked with each other. The Features object shows the Product Option data of the Product and Feature object.
  • After completing the data syncing process. The External UID can be generated with Integration key + parent object primary key data + Child Object primary key data + GrandChild primary key data.
