GUMU™ Feature: Enhanced Entity Mapping/Import based on Sync Type

In this blog, we will be discussing the benefits of using the “Sync Type” in Entity Mapping/Import based on Sync Type Import routine to streamline data management processes and improve overall workflow. The Entity Mapping/Import module has been upgraded to clearly differentiate between Default Import routines provided by the GUMU™ package and Custom Import routines created by users. This enhancement addresses a critical need for clarity and efficiency within the user interface, improving overall user experience and operational productivity.

Key Features of Entity Mapping/Import based on Sync Type

  1. Sync Type Column: A new column in the Entity Mappings list to display the Sync Type, allowing users to quickly identify Default and Custom Import routines.
  2. Read-Only Checkbox: A checkbox in the Optional Setup tab indicating whether the Sync Type is custom or not. This checkbox is disabled to prevent manual changes.
  3. Automatic Sync Type Assignment: New entities created by users will automatically have their Sync Type set to ‘Custom’.
  4. Sync Type Filter: A ‘Sync Type’ filter is now available, enabling users to sort and view mappings based on their Sync Type, either ‘Default’ or ‘Custom’.

Functional Overview for using Entity Mapping/Import based on Sync Type

  • After creating default Entities and Mappings for the Integration, all entities will be created, and the Sync Type for all Entity Mappings will be set to “Default”.

  • To facilitate this, we have added a new column called “Sync Type” to the list of Entity Mappings. This enables users to easily identify and distinguish between Default Import routines and Custom Import routines. And enhance the overall experience of using the GUMU product fetaure of Entity Mapping/Import based on Sync Type.

  • Additionally, we have added a new checkbox on the Optional Setup tab in the Entity Mapping Header. This checkbox indicates whether the Sync Type is custom or not. The checkbox is read-only (disabled).
  • When a user creates a new Import Routine in Entity Mapping, the Sync Type will be set to ‘Custom.’ Users can now filter Import Routines based on the Sync Type.

  • We have also added a ‘Sync Type’ filter next to the existing type filter. This enhancement improves the user experience by allowing users to filter the list of mappings based on ‘Default’ or ‘Custom’ sync types, making it easy to distinguish and filter these mappings based on Entity Mapping/Import based on Sync Type.
