GUMU™ Feature: Auto Update the Last Sync Date field in Entity Mapping/Import after the import routine successfully runs

In this blog post, we’ll walk through a solution that automatically updates the Last Sync Date field in Entity Mapping/Import after the import routine successfully runs. This update is based on the value in the “Update_Last_Sync_by_Days__c” field, which allows users to add a specified number of days to the current sync date and reflect as the Last Sync Date field in Entity Mapping.

For instance, if the user inputs “10” in the Update_Last_Sync_by_Days__c field and the current Last Sync Date is “2023-11-01” after the import routine completes successfully, the new Last Sync Date will be automatically updated to “2023-11-11”.

Prerequisites

  1. Make sure the Entity Mapping / Import should be created in your Salesforce environment.
  2. Select the Last Sync Field:
    • Make sure you have the correct Last Sync field specified.
  3. Enter the Last Sync Value:
    • Just input the current Last Sync value that you’d like to update.

  • Enter the number of days you wish to add in the Update Last Sync by Days field.

  • Click the Sync Now button to initiate the update to Last Sync Date field in Entity Mapping.

  • Refresh the Import Routine and check that the new date has been added to the Last Sync Value based on the number of days you entered and thus an update to Last Sync Date field in Entity Mapping happens.
