Impact of PDF:
PDF works fine for real-time data. All data displayed in PDF is directly requested from the Sage side. If any changes are done in Sage Side, it will directly get reflected in the Sales Order PDF so there is minimal chance of mismatch or incorrect data.
Apart from this, as mentioned above, the user can change their PDF format.
For this, one custom field was created in which users can add their VF page name for their customized PDF. Details are as follows:
Object Name: Data_Page_Detail__c
Field Name: VF_Page__c
Following are steps to follow.
- Create an Account for Sage 100, fill in the required information, and Promote the Account to Sage 100. Find more details here.
- You will get a customer number when you promote your Account to Sage 100.
- Promote Sales Orders for the promoted Account.
- One classic real-time page gets opened. There are tabs like Customer and Sales Order.
- Click on the Sales Order tab, here you will get a list of promoted Orders against that Account.
- Click on the PDF link and your Sales Order pdf will get downloaded.
To enhance the user experience, full control over the data is provided, enabling users to customize the PDF format as needed. Users can replace the default PDF with their own, create a custom PDF using VF page code, and update the PDF format as required. This functionality is facilitated through a custom field in Salesforce, allowing users to specify their VF page name for their personalized PDF format.
